On October 1st, 2009, Tennis Canada celebrated the opening of the New Rexall Centre U14 Program. The goal of the program is to provide a weekly training and competitive program, working in conjunction with our provincial association partners, to support club leaders, coaches and parents to enrich the current training and competitive environment for top performing Ontario athletes between the ages of 7-13.

Tennis Canada launches U9 Advanced Tour
In October, Tennis Canada launched the U9 Advanced Tour, using ¾ court progressive tennis as a means to get players into the sport at a younger age. In addition to the Rogers Rookie Tour, this venture is another effort geared towards promoting the benefits of tennis and increasing participation amongst children.
